Rhythms of Resistance: The Evolution and History of Reggae music in Jamaica

  Introduction Reggae music has become a symbol of Jamaican identity, and its compelling rhythms and poignant social commentary has made it such that its global influence is, at this point, undeniable. It originally came to light in the late 1960s, evolving from earlier forms like ska and rocksteady.
